Once an assignment is declined within the application, a sequence of events take place:
- you are removed from the assignment
- the system blocks that date/time period so that you are not assigned again if someone else declines
- the system identifies the next available person on the team and assigns the task to that person
After declining, the system would have already assigned another person to the declined assignment (assuming auto-scheduling is enabled).
If you would like to make yourself eligible for assignments again during those periods, you can remove the block that is in place by following the steps below:
- log into the system and click on the 'my Profile/Preferences' button
- click on the "'s assignments at " tab at the bottom of the page
- delete the declined assignments listed on the page
After undeclining, you can request to swap assignments with the persons currently assigned or just request an admin to put you back in that slot.
